MDF

Standard Grade MDF - Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood-based sheet material made by bonding together wood fibres with a synthetic resin adhesive. Due to their strength, MDF panels can be machined and finished to a high standard and are manufactured for a variety of purposes for both interior and exterior applications.

Moisture Resistant MDF - MR/Moisture resistant MDF is a moisture resistant MDF panel designed for use in humid conditions in accordance with MDF.H1 as defined in EN 622 part 5, so is ideal for applications such as kitchen and bathroom furniture, window and skirting boards and architectural mouldings.

Flame Retardant MDF - FR/Flame Retardant Euro class B and class C is an MDF Panel developed specifically for use in situations where a Euro class B or a Euro Class C flame retardant MDF board is required under building regulations.

Light Weight/Ultra-Light MDF - A Lighter grade MDF, often specified where weight saving characteristics are paramount this type of MDF is often used in the Shopfitting, exhibition and automotive sectors.

Plywood

Plywood Panels compromise of at least three layers (or ‘plies’) of thin wood bonded together with an adhesive. Each ply is usually orientated at a right angle to the adjacent layer in order to improve strength and reduce the probability of shrinkage. The outer layers of the board are commonly referred to as the ‘face’ and ‘back’ and are graded based on quality.

The intermediate layers are collectively known as the ‘core’. Plywood glue is graded for suitability for internal or external use.

A full range of plywood in a wide variety of thicknesses, sizes and types are immediately available ex stock.
